The lifespan of a website can vary. WordPress and the web are constantly evolving and the template we build the website around can stop developing and after a few years become incompatible with current standards. If this happens, a WordPress programmer will need to update your website or you will need to change the template. However, I have never seen a website last less than at least 5 years.
